The play is the story of a couple who prefers having a cat based on the wife persistence, rather than having a baby. At first, the wife is so interested to the cat that it makes the husband jealous and it causes a gap between the couple. The wife resorts to other occupations regardless of the joint life and the husband looks after the cat out of necessity. The husband gives independence to the cat as it becomes his companion and he confabulates only with it.
The play questions the carelessness towards the pets’ requirements and the reason of zoo occurrence, in addition to dealing with the current couples relations, the young couples who begin their lives with love and they finally divorce. How is it possible to solve the problem of personal freedom in a joint life?
